GCF serves two essential segments in the make-up of our community: local charities working to improve the quality of life for our community and donors who generously give financial contributions to support the causes they care about.

The Foundation administers and distributes philanthropic funds for the benefit of Galesburg area residents. GCF serves as the custodian for a variety of funds, grants and scholarships, benefiting a wide-range of charities while meeting the wishes of today's donor.

Our Mission:
The mission of the Galesburg Community Foundation is to identify, select and invest in broad-based charitable programs, services and funds through philanthropic means to enhance the quality of life and well being of the citizens in the greater Galesburg area.

The Galesburg Community Foundation carries out its mission by building a permanent, growing endowment for the community's needs and opportunities, creating excellence through effective grant making, and providing Donors with a way to establish funds for an individual or family legacy.
